Ruairi Fallon left Belfast fourteen years ago to study at Camberwell College of Arts in London. Here he began experimenting with relief printmaking, a medium he has since woven into his broader fine art practice.

After graduating in 2015, he remained in London for seven years, producing and exhibiting his work in multiple venues, including the Royal Academy of Art (Summer Exhibition), the Saatchi Gallery (‘Jealous Needs You’), and at Unit 1 Gallery (‘Sixteenth Solo Resident’).

In 2023, Ruairi migrated to Vietnam, where he now lives and works, spending the last year creating this new body of work ‘Scattered, Broken, Maybe’ from his studio in Ho Chi Minh City. The work comprises a kaleidoscopic series of reduction woodcut prints.

  • Bernotaite J Wilkowischken RESI.jpg

‘Re-imagined Places’ was curated by Francesca Biondi, Art Director & Curator of Gallery 545.

The exhibition included a series of original artworks inspired by landscapes. A diverse selection of paintings were on display, from beautiful views of Northern Ireland to evocative imaginary lands, exquisite foliage motives, vibrant abstract paintings, and colourful glass pieces.

This show featured Lisa Ballard, Juste Bernotaite, Louise Lennon, Alison Lowry, Rosie McGurran, Maria Perry, Latisha Reihill, and Anushiya Sundaralingam, who like many other contemporary artists, continue to find inspiration in their natural surroundings. While echoing their visual qualities, these artists re-imagine places, reinventing them with colour palettes, atmospheres and moods to convey their own unique representations.
